Michael Kopit is a partner in Litchfield Cavo LLP's Kansas City, Missouri office. He defends clients against employment disputes and general liability matters, including personal injury, premises liability, real estate and commercial liability claims. Mr. Kopit also handles insurance coverage issues, breach of contract and bad faith claims. He has experience working with clients in the transportation, retail, hospitality, and food and beverage industries, as well as public and private entities. Mr. Kopit has more than a decade of experience litigating cases filed in state and federal courts, with a proven record of obtaining favorable outcomes. He also advises clients on litigation avoidance techniques to assist with averting risks and conflicts. Mr. Kopit earned his B.A. degree in political science from the University of Kansas and his J.D. degree from the University of Kansas School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Missouri, Kansas and the United States District Courts; Western District of Missouri and District of Kansas.

Marc N. Middleton is a member with Evans & Dixon LLC in the firm's Kansas City office. He brings with him 15+ years of experience as a trial attorney. Mr. Middleton's career has been focused on civil litigation; construction defect and workers' compensation matters; defending small and large businesses, individuals and municipalities against claims involving personal injuries (premises liability, auto collisions, etc.); labor and employment disputes (brought pursuant to the Missouri Human Rights Act (MHRA); Whistleblower Protection Act (WPA); Title VII of the Civil Rights Act; Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA); Americans with Disabilities Act (ADAAA); Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA); and Missouri Merchandising Practices Act (MMPA). He has handled every aspect of litigation from case inception through appeal. Mr. Middleton earned his B.A. degree in political science from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Western District of Missouri, District of Kansas, District of Nebraska, Eastern District of Michigan and the United States Court of Appeals Tenth Circuit.

Blaine P. Smith is an attorney with Litchfield Cavo LLP. He assists business clients with finding viable solutions to their legal issues. From pre-litigation dispute resolution to prevailing in the courtroom, he has experience navigating the legal precedent and delivering favorable results. Mr. Smith earned his B.A. degree from The University of Kansas and his J.D. degree from, Jack E. Dalton Legal Writing Award from University of Kansas School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Missouri, Kansas and the United States District Courts: Western District of Missouri, District of Kansas.

Nanette Turner Kalcik is an attorney with Stinson LLP and a member of the business and commercial litigation practice. Ms. Kalcik has considerable experience in nationwide complex litigation and has spent her career protecting her clients' interests throughout the entire litigation process, from pre-litigation consulting through trial and including the appellate process. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in legal studies and international studies, magna cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Springfield and her LLM in international law, with distinction, (highest honor) from Nottingham Trent University. Additionally, Ms. Kalcik earned her J.D. degree, with honors, from Washburn University School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Kansas, Illinois, Missouri and numerous federal courts.
